Baby, You’re a *Blue* Firework!

So it’s been a whole month since I’ve posted – oops! What’s been going on?

I’m still getting sick – some days are better than others. On the weekends I try to stay in bed until I’m feeling better; during the work week, I get up and start getting ready, and just face the madness until I’m able to leave the house!

Two weeks ago, your dad and I traveled with the Strausbaugh side of the family – your grandma and grandpa, your uncle Steve and aunt Stephanie, your uncle Timmy, your aunt Alicia and her oldest daughter – your cousin – Savanna. Technically, this was your first real vacation! We started in Stone Mountain, GA – we climbed the mountain together! Next up was the Hillbilly Jam in Maggie Valley where we made some new friends and saw old friends, and we spent the rest of the time in Pigeon Forge, TN. Pretty sure you loved it – we even went to Dollywood and your dad rode all of the rides! I was sick every morning but felt better after we finally got home and I could rest and unpack.

Last Thursday night (Aug. 11) I saw you again for an ultrasound – you are AMAZING! You were rolling around, waving and kicking your feet! It’s still hard for me to feel it, but that should change soon.

We received the ultrasound results… on Friday night, we gathered our immediate families – the Strausbaugh side (see above!), your Mimi and Pop-Pop (my parents), your Aunt Jess (my twin sister), her husband – your uncle – Cody, their daughter – your cousin – Madisyn, your cousin Charlet (aunt Alicia’s youngest daughter) AND my besties, aunt Emily and her boyfriend, uncle Sean! With their help, we set off fireworks and they were… BLUE!

It’s a BOY!

Your dad and I would love you either way but we are very excited to meet our little man!! So far, our favorite names are Kash and Kolt, so we have a few months to see what fits – I can’t wait to hold your little hands and kiss your face!

You don’t even know how loved you are already!! You’re the size of a mango and you weigh about as much as a can of Pepsi, and we are head over heels in love with you!

Love you to the moon and back, baby boy!

xoxo, mom
