Mother’s Day

Yesterday was Mother’s Day! Your dad got me the cutest card – he crossed off where it said, “We love the bundle we’ve added” (or something like that) and changed it to say “the bundle we’re adding”. He signed it, “your boo, Kevin” which I thought was hilarious.

He had to work on Saturday so the rest of us (mimi, pop pop, uncle C & aunt J and Madi, of course) went to North Port to our favorite Italian place. It was so fun – the next day I was sick all day and it didn’t help that your dad was prepping a giant, 35-lb turkey in the fridge. Morning sickness has officially set in because every time I opened the fridge, I saw that big turkey and got so sick.

We had a few people over to eat the giant turkey, mimi rescued me by sending me home earlier in the day with English muffins – NOTHING else sounded good! – and I shot your dad’s gun – only took two tries to hit the tin can! Your dad is not as good of a shot, so always know that I’m superior in every way. 😉

It’s weird knowing that it was my first mother’s day as an almost-mom, and still not being ready to tell everyone. Your dad is ready to just spill his guts but we are holding steady until everything is up to par!

xoxo, mom.
